The local area surrounding Brynhyfryd boasts a wealth of natural beauty, coastline and history, plus the shopping and nightlife of both Cardiff and Swansea just a short drive away.

For nature lovers there are numerous walks and rambles throughout the countryside, as well as the Kenfig National and Parc Slip Nature Reserves within minutes of the campsite and we are ideally situated if you prefer rural countryside, hill walks or beaches and coastline.

We are also very lucky to be situated in an area steeped in history and industry with ancient castles, iron works, potteries and even museums dedicated to the coal mining industry and the world famous St Fagans Museum of the history of Welsh Life all within a short driving distance of the campsite.

The area also provides fantastic shopping facilities with the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet within minutes from the site and local towns and villages providing unique boutiques and craft shops to the major cosmopolitan shopping of Swansea and Cardiff, our Capital City.
